Ribehøj / Solvang

Ribehøj is a family business that started as agriculture and the way was one of Denmark's largest deer farms. Today we focus on the great culinary experiences and experience nature at a high level. The restaurant and the park offers any combination of eating, fishing, golf and accommodation for both businesses and families with all kinds of celebrations. They are available as packages or as a customized solution for a particular event. Our philosophy is: To each and every visitor must be a great experience - for all the senses and all ages.

Restaurateur and third-generation, Carsten Kjær took place in 2002 and the park has today evolved into a place with unique experiences for all the senses. The location right in the middle of Sydjylland in Bobøl - means a short distance to Ribe, Esbjerg, Kolding, Billund, Haderslev and others.

But why just the name Ribehøj? The name Ribehøj is not just taken out of thin air. Back in the meantime there was the farm's highest point a barrow called Ribehøj. In the name of the park. From the hill, it was possible in fine weather to catch a glimpse of Ribe Cathedral in the distance. Gravhøjen was excavated in 1941 and today is "transferred" to the National Museum.

Ribehøj arose from a family farm Solvang, where the original farm buildings were - north of the road. In 1931 bought Sven consolation Kjær Solvang who was 60 tdrl. Ribehøj Hjort Farm was founded with a population of 121 mothers and 70 calves which the largest number. An idea of establishing a nature park with fishing lake and the possibility of accommodation in the huts were realized in 1992 as Ribehøj Fish Park to the charming octagonal house that contract oersteds.
